Deadline Reduced
Concept Plc Pulled Out All The Stops When Project Deadline Is Reduced By A Third
Office design and fit-out specialists Concept Plc recently had to pull out all the stops when the timescales of an £850,000 relocation project they were working on were dramatically reduced by a third.
Having commenced work to an agreed 12 week deadline, High Wycombe based Concept Plc were asked to drastically reduce their schedule by 4 weeks to enable the client to vacate their existing offices earlier and benefit from a reverse premium on their lease terms.
Whilst this might have been a challenge too far for many design and refit companies, Concept Plc pulled out all the stops and completed the job to the agreed timescales and without any compromise to quality.
When they commenced the relocation project for CLS Holdings, a property investment company whose London offices were relocating to new premises on the 26th floor of Portland House, Concept’s biggest challenge was the limited lift space available. The extensive refurbishment required many bespoke furniture, cabinet and glass elements, all of which had to be carefully designed using restricted measurements to ensure they would fit in the lift. However, this challenge paled into insignificance when the client requested completion of the 11,000 square foot offices in just 8 weeks.
David Kirby, Managing Director of Concept Plc attributes their success to their experience and expert project management skills, “It was essential that although our schedule was dramatically reduced, we delivered the quality of workmanship that we had originally promised. We have extensive experience in these types of projects and through careful planning, coordination and communication we delivered a bespoke interior design scheme of the highest quality and standards.”
Robert O’Dwyer, Director of CLS Holdings comments, “Concept Plc performed marvellously to achieve the very tight timescales on this project. I was extremely impressed with how well the team worked together and how professional they were - from the project manager right through to the contractors that were brought in.”
